Boks fly RWC 2023 flag

Several Bok squad members attended two events in Port Elizabeth as part of the build-up this Saturday’s Test against Argentina, to be staged at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Coach, Allister Coetzee, accompanied by Beast Mtawarira, Siya Kolisi, Jesse Kriel, Jan Serfontein and Curwin Bosch hoisted a giant flag on Saturday morning in support of the SA Rugby 2023 Rugby World Cup Bid campaign. This after the daily ceremonial raising of the South African flag at the Donkin Reserve in the city centre. They were accompanied by Councillor Andrew Whitfield, the MMC for Economic Development.

Down the road, Oupa Mohoje, Elton Jantjies, Coenie Oosthuizen, Ross Cronje, Steven Kitshoff and Lizo Gqoboka demonstrated their drawing skills when they skilfully completed a colourful #LoveRugby mural at one of the popular PE beachfront spots. The Springboks decorated one side of the King’s Beach lifesaving club as part of SA Rugby’s ongoing #LoveRugby initiative.
