Exeter forward Dave Dennis will miss the entire 2017 season after injuring his bicep in training in a major blow for the Premiership champions.
The 31-year-old Australian in his second season with the Chiefs was in good form, having scored a try in the win against Wasps last month.
"He's got a relatively serious injury, he's had an operation. He's likely to be out for 10-12 weeks," Exeter boss Rob Baxter told BBC Radio Devon.
Dennis joins a large list of Exeter players affected by injuries this season.
England and British and Irish Lions winger Jack Nowell is out with a broken cheekbone, while fellow England internationals Ollie Devoto and Luke Cowan-Dickie are also sidelined.
Dave Ewers, Sam Hill and Italy's Michele Campagnaro are also out of action for the Chiefs.
