Kriel and Bosch share ratings love

On a subdued rating of 6.7, Jaco Kriel and Curwin Bosch have been rated MVP of the week, while Waylon Murray and Jamba Ulengo share the Moegoe award.

With the Sharks leaving it to the last minute to get past the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein, and the Lions not exactly massively convincing against the lowly Kings in PE, raters were hardly effusive this week.

Bosch was metronomic off the kicking tee, though, and looking comfortingly calm in that Sharks No. 10 jersey. This while Kriel was back to his rambunctious best in PE, making a table topping 75 metres from 9 carries. Deserved MVP’s we say.

The All Out Rugby player ratings allow fans to vent (or high five) a little on Sunday and Monday mornings by rating the SA players out of ten. Every user rating then contributes to the official All Out Rugby Player Ratings – which close at midnight on a Monday – for the round.

The players deemed most in need of some extra time on the training field this week, Kings centre Murray and Bulls wing Ulengo, share the Moegoe of the week award on pretty miserable ratings of just 3.4.

Murray made only 12 metres from his two carries and missed two tackles. While Ulengo made 36m from his 6 carries, but had 2 handling errors to go with his missed tackle.

Bulls coach Nollis Marais is feeling the heat from frustrated fans. His rating of just 2.8 is a whipping of note. Not special in terms of referee ratings, with Argentinian quite man Federico Anselmi notching up just 4.1 out of 10 for his handling of the Stormers game in Singapore.

You can also have a little fun by comparing the various ratings using the drop down menu. Have a look at how the Stormers fans rated the players in comparison with Lions fans, or perhaps compare the girls and boys ratings!
