It’s been a memorable week for Courtnall Skosan as the excitement of his Springbok call-up was exceeded only by his pride at being unanimously selected to the Stats XV.

Skosan was one of just three Saffers that put up good enough numbers in Round 13 to warrant inclusion in the Stats XV, and he was the only one that stuck after the Player Ratings were taken into consideration.
Stormers jumper Pieter-Steph du Toit (5.5) and Kings rake Martin Bezuidenhout (4.8) had to hand their Stats XV kit back after being downgraded by Joe Rater. Their replacements were a pair of Lions in Franco Mostert (7.5) and Malcolm Marx (6.6).
But Skosan raced off with a 7.2 from the Raters and none of Makazole Mapimpi (5.3), Sibahle Maxwane (3.1), Raymond Rhule (3.5), Sbu Nkosi (6.5) or Seabelo Senatla (4.7) could catch him!
