Bok 8th man and skipper Warren Whiteley was proud of his charges after they impressed in a 37-15 victory over France in Durban on Saturday.
Tries from Jan Serfontein, Siya Kolisi, Coenie Oosthuizen and Elton Jantjies saw the hosts prevail, with Jantjies also kicking 17 points.
Victory secured a series win for South Africa as they go into the final match against France 2-0 up, with Whiteley thrilled with his team.
“They (France) put some pressure on us in the first 10 minutes but we managed to turn it around, picked up the intensity and put the pressure back on them,” he said following the Boks’ strong performance at Kings Park.
“The second half was also important for us. We knew the pressure would be on us. I’m really proud of the team.
“It was all character – that’s what we’ve been speaking about the last three or four weeks.”
He added: “I’m just extremely proud of the boys, the support has been phenomenal. We really appreciate it, we want to make our country proud.”
